20 universities in Korea restricted from issuing foreign student visas
Foreign students planning to study at a Korean university should make sure that the university is accredited by the government's Education International Competency Certification System (IEQAS). According to a government announcement, 20 universities will be restricted from issuing visas to international students starting in September 2026. The limit includes both D-2 visas and D-4 visas for language courses required for the degree program.
